About Our Pastor
Pastor Jessena Moore was born in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Elder Jessie and District Elder Anna E. Davis. The sixth of eight children, she was blessed to grow up in a home filled with faith and love for the Lord. At just eight years old, Pastor Moore was baptized in the name of Jesus, and by the age of twelve, she was filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at Christ Temple New Assembly Church under the leadership of her mother, the late District Elder Anna E. Davis.
From a young age, Pastor Moore embraced her calling by serving in many areas of ministry. She faithfully worked as a choir director, prayer warrior, praise and worship leader, Vice President and Director of the Young People, and as part of jail and street outreach ministries. Her heart for service was evident—she was always willing to do whatever her hands found to do for the glory of God.
With a special love for youth and evangelism, Pastor Moore became deeply involved in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW). She served as an altar worker for the International Pentecostal Young People’s Union and was an active member of the Evangelism and Outreach Ministry. Within the First Apostolic Council of Kentucky and Tennessee, she also dedicated many years as an altar worker and evangelism team member.
In 1982, Pastor Moore married her devoted husband, Deacon Billy Moore, and together they have built a life rooted in faith and family. God has blessed their union with five children—four sons and one daughter—and eleven cherished grandchildren.
At the age of forty, Pastor Moore accepted God’s call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She pursued biblical studies through Aenon Bible College of the PAW, Inc., and in 2023, she graduated during the PAW Summer Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, receiving her Certificate of Completion for the Ordination Preparation Course and becoming an ordained minister of the Apostolic Faith.
In September 2022, Pastor Moore was installed as the newly elected pastor of Christ Temple New Assembly Church, carrying forward the great legacy and mantle of her late mother, District Elder Anna E. Davis. Today, Pastor Moore continues to faithfully lead the church with a heart for prayer, teaching, and soul-winning.
Through her ministry, countless lives have been touched, and many souls have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost. Pastor Moore remains committed to the vision of advancing the Kingdom of God, trusting Him for every step forward.
To God be the Glory for the things He has done! At Christ Temple, we believe, we serve, and we trust God.
